Originally from Arizona where I got my first undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences and Criminology in 2013. I have always had a fondness for research and applied sciences leading to many various opportunities including insect physiology for 4 years, including a research project of how Carboniferous period atmospheres lead to supersized insects. Brief hair care formulation chemistry studies with Henkle in Scottsdale Arizona. Algae research with Heliae, identifying best methods of rapidly growing specific species of algae under certain manufacturing conditions for its eventual use in various other food, processing, and medicinal roles. And eventually landing a role as a clinical lab specialist with Vitalant in their stem cell clinical lab, working on processing and preserving bone marrow and cord blood specimens. This also had the exciting opportunity of being part of the original CART-T processing production research team. Including multiple double blinded studies on its effectiveness for treatment of various cancers as compared to traditional stem cell and chemo treatment alone.
My passion for wanting to always be learning new things, and my desire to help others eventually led me to achieve my BSN in 2019 from Arizona State University. Soon after, I moved to Oregon where I became an Oncology RN with Salem Health Hospital for the next year, and The Oregon Clinic Gastroenterology South as an ENDO and advise nurse for the next 4 years. Once my first son was born I decided to obtain my MSN from United States University, and found a passion with the pediatric population. Doing rotations with Clackamas Pediatrics in Oregon and urgent care with Kaiser, while also learning to be a new mom, and achieved my FNP-BC certification through American Nursing Credentialing Center 2024. It is my desire to continue my passions for advanced research and holistic healthcare and apply it into my patient care.
Outside of my academic and career interests, I continue to enjoy activities such as powerlifting, running, hiking, reading fantasy novels, learning new recipes, and homesteading. Originally from the bustling Phoenix-Scottsdale metro area of Arizona, I have fallen in love with the Pacific Northwest and the opportunities it provides for families such as mine.
