Mackenzie was born and raised in Spokane, Washington. She has been a nurse for 10 years, with experience in Cardiac Transplant, Neuro/Trauma ICU, and as a clinical instructor at WSU’s College of Nursing. She attained her doctorate in nursing from WSU. What motivates her is the opportunity to help every child she sees live the healthiest and happiest life possible. Mackenzie loves spending time with her husband and son on hikes, listening to podcasts, traveling, waterskiing, and watching The Great British Baking Show. A fun fact about Mackenzie is she has climbed to the top of Mt. Rainier.
