Marisa Kendo, OTR/L, moved to Spokane to attend Gonzaga University for her bachelor’s in biology. She later received her master’s in occupational therapy from Eastern Washington University. Marisa was driven to become a pediatric occupational therapist for the ability to assist families and children during a critical stage of their life. As an occupational therapist she can address cognitive, social, motor, and emotional/behavioral regulation milestones. She loves the idea of supporting children in their developmental and sensory needs to make sure they can participate in play and self-care tasks with the goal of being as independent as possible.
In her free time, Marisa loves going on walks and bike rides with her husband. She relaxes through card making, cross stitch, knitting/crochet, and tackling new techniques when struck by inspiration. Marisa also enjoys adapting recipes to fit different allergen/dietary needs. She is excited to be part of the Mt. Spokane Pediatric team and support children in doing what they need and love to do!
